Inscribed by Tyson and dated in 1975 opposite the colophon, though he has crossed it out, perhaps meaning to give this to someone else. Light corner wear to signatures, box with toning and chipped spine label. Near fine in very good box.
A nice production featuring striking, modern images of color symbolism by British artist Ian Tyson (1933-2021) alongside translations by Rothenberg of Navaho poems. These poems were taken from the bessingway of medicine man, Frank Mitchell (1881-1967) of Chinle, AZ. Item #9121
